Although not a seed treatment it is important to consider the option of using Intake in furrow on fertiliser for effective disease control.
In canola Intake has proven to be the most effective option for suppression of blackleg. Trials have shown that under high disease the most profitable option may be a combination of Jockey treated seed used with Intake treated fertiliser.
In wheat Intake has been proven to give the longest protection available against stripe rust, Septoria tritici, and take-all. Intake has proven to be particularly effective for use on varieties with low disease tolerance or under high disease pressure. Please note that as Intake is not applied to the seed it is not effective in controlling smuts and bunt, so should be used in conjunction with Premis.
